Social Club

The Beoley Village Hall Social Club holds a variety of events throughout the year.  In the winter period, from October to April, there is the Skittles League and Knockout Cup - currently involving 12 teams of 8 competitors.

We hold other special events, such as an annual Quiz Night and evenings featuring music groups or comedians.  Since January 2013, we have been running a monthly "Trad" Jazz night - on the 4th Wednesday of the month.

There is a Village Cinema night on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. This is an ideal opportunity to come and watch some of the top films, recently released, with free popcorn and peanuts. The bar is open and we encourage everyone to stay on after the film to socialise and discuss the film.

Keep coming back to this page, from time to time, to see announcements of forthcoming events.

Silent Comedy Cinema & Live Piano Accompaniment | Saturday 5 September 2020

"The Joy of Laughter: Silent Film Comedy with live piano accompaniment."

Thrill to the comedic antics of early film comedy stars, such as Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and Laurel and Hardy in an entertaining evening of mirth and music for the entire family. USA piano star Jeff Barnhart returns to Beoley with a treasure trove of stories and films from the Early days of cinematic comedy. Car chases, stunts, suspense and romance await you as Jeff weaves his musical magic from scene to scene.

Jeff tells us about the background to the films and the actors and then plays music to enhance the silent films - in the style of the old cinema pianists. An unforgettable evening of education, entertainment and above all, LAUGHTER!

The first four years' events were very entertaining and great fun, with a very high attendance (a sell-out in 2017). New films and stories every time! Book early to secure your tickets! This event is suitable for all ages from 10 upwards!

The Hall opens at 7.15pm and the entertainment starts at 8.00pm. The bar will be open, with drinks and snacks available.

Tickets are available now at £8.00 each, if booked in advance (£4 for children up to 16).
