The 2008/9 Skittles Season will start in September.  We expect there will be 16 teams, each of 8 people, competing in both a league and a knock-out.  As usual, we anticipate some keenly fought matches with the teams trying to beat last season's winners.

The Social Committee has arranged an evening with "Steel and Strings" - a steel band duo from Birmingham. They play a variety of music in steel band style - they have to be seen and heard to appreciate the precision and quality of the sound!  Absolutely not to be missed!  Tickets on sale soon at skittles evenings and from committee members.

The annual Quiz Night will take place at the Hall on Saturday 29 November 2008.  Teams of four people are invited to compete - registration for places will be available once the new skittles season gets underway in September.

The Social Committee has arranged an evening of traditional jazz with the Heart of England Jazz Band - a great Midlands band that plays throughout the country and abroad.  This should be a fantastic evening, so be sure to buy your tickets soon - on sale at skittles evenings and from committee members.
